Safe Church Bulletins

No matter how you slice it, content is king! And the content in a church bulletin is important. But can errors and faux pas make them unsafe? That was my thought as I drew this safe church bulletins cartoon.

Safe church bulletin Cartoon: A woman says, "The church bulletins should be safe. I tried it on the crash test dummy."

When it comes to church communications, always test them first. All it takes is one typo to throw the congregation into a tizzy. Remember, it only takes one letter to turn “singing” into “sinning!”

Beneath the Tree Cartoon

It’s the age-old story of the epic battle between cats and dogs! I’ve seen it in my own house many times. One such battle inspired this “Beneath the tree cartoon.”

Beneath the tree cartoon. A dog says to a cat, "Come down! All I want to do is talk about taking a bite out of crime."

Why do cats and dogs have such an adversarial relationship? One blog post suggests it’s less about the two species always being at war with the other and more to do with getting used to each other.

Walls and Bridges Cartoon

Relationships are so tricky! We are continually building walls or bridges between each other. One day, I thought about that and drew this wall and bridges cartoon.

Walls and bridges cartoon. A woman in a castle says, "I admit I have built walls between us, but I built a bridge too!"

Each day, we can be tempted to just burn a bridge and build a walled fortress. We think it is easier to write off someone because they may be difficult, have opinions we dislike or tend to build walls. Who needs them anyway?
