Why my Dad is the best dad

You may disagree with me. In fact, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt since I probably haven’t met your father. However, I have my reasons why my dad is the best dad. And here they are.

My Father’s Top Ten List on Why He is so Awesome!

1. He is a man of integrity. He says what he means and commits to all products he says yes to
2. He is a man of quiet strength. Yet he has always spoken when he has needed to
3. He is an example of a loving husband and patriarch. Through his example, I was taught how to be those things each day
4. He is a veteran who served in the US Air Force
5. He has shown me it is as essential to work behind the scenes as it is to be in the spotlight
6. At the age of eighty-two, he has taught me how it looks to retire well by working, serving, and teaching long after others have retired from life
7. He has been an encourager and great mentor
8. He has rarely said a bad word about anyone, nor spread gossip
9. He taught me the value of humor and the genius of a good Warner Brothers cartoon
10. He taught me the winning combination of faithfulness and perseverance

When I first wrote this in 2014, I felt strongly about my father’s positive impact on my life. Eight years later, I feel even more strong and affirmed by his faith and legacy. On this Father’s Day, I want to give a big thank you to Edgar Spear. You have given me many reasons to show me why you are the best!
