Cartoon: Let My People Go

Cartoon of Moses confronting Pharaoh

Cartoon of Moses and Pharaoh. Moses says, “The Lord says, ‘Let my people go!’ It will be good for your business.”

Pharaoh could have saved a lot of trouble by just letting the Israelites go. His ROI (Return on Investment) could not have been very good that year. Some people live and learn. Other tyrants don’t.

Float Them Down the River

Cartoon of a mom rushing to the aid of a baby in a basket. A boy says, "But if they did it to Moses, why can't I float him down the river?"

Don’t try this at home, kids! I drew this for the May, 2012 edition of the Church of God Newsletter.

Story Figures: Jesus Calms the Storm

Illustration for a curriculum activity. I drew these figures for the story of Jesus and the storm. Based on John 6:16-€“21; Matthew 14:22-€“36

I drew this activity a couple of years ago. It was fun working on this one. I imagined how the kids would act out the story as one child would “rock” the ocean and another child would add voices to the scared disciples. I’ve always admired Peter’s chutzpah in this story too!

Locusts for Lunch

This is an activity book cover I did for Warner Press entitled, Locusts for Lunch. This book holds a little place in my heart because it was one of the first I wrote, illustrated and designed. It was fun planning the word and graphic activities as well as telling the story.

I thought this title would be perfect for this week’s Illustration Friday word. The word is “swarm.”
