When I have served in nurseries and the babies began wailing, I’ve often wondered what it would be like if the kiddos cried in harmony. Someone needs to modify an autotune device so it could make church nurseries harmonious places.

I love the energy of preschoolers! I believe some of their energy comes from the excitement they feel when they are discovering new things. When the whole world is yours to discover, it naturally gives a little energy boost.
This morning, I think I’ll talk with a preschooler and look at the world through his eyes. It’s pretty amazing to see things new again. It may give me an energy boost!

Here’s to all the high performing, type A parents that want their kids to excel. I haven’t heard of a gifted and talented program at a church. If you have, let me know. Would midweek programming be considered gifted and talented? I think every kid is gifted and talented according to Ephesians 2:10!

My day at The Orange Conference began with a great talk by Mike Clear (Twitter: @mclear).
My big takeaway was to lead by being strategic and use the rhythms of the seasons to help parents and kids connect.
I am on my way to the 2017 Orange Conference. I have been there once before and I can’t wait to meet up with thousands of people that share my passion for children’s ministry.
