A devil contemplates his life… or death… or whatever entity it is.
It began as a doodle over a Tuesday morning meeting. I drew the finished file in Adobe Illustrator.
Drawing for Illustration Friday’s word: "Repair." Frankenstein tries to repair the monster. The monster isn’t thrilled about the ideal.
I used this illustration to experiment with using flat shading and no lines. I also made liberal use of layer masks in Adobe Illustrator to use the shading in the shadows.
Monsters says, “The great thing about being a monster around Christmas is it’s the one day I can wear a red outfit with my green skin.”
I did this cartoon a few years ago. I’m pretty sure “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” had something to do with this cartoon. It’s either that or one particularly moving episode of “Sesame Street.”

Yes, I just need to give my anxieties to God today. Do you ever have those days where there are too many things going around in your head and you just want to toss all the to-do lists and filled calendars out the window? Well, that’s the way with me today. I just need to practice what I doodle. God, you can have them today! I just need to be sure I don’t fill up my to-do’s after I give Him the old list!
I’m glad there are multiple remedies to anxiety. In today’s world, it comes in handy to have a few solutions in your arsenal.
For me, 1 Peter 5:7 is a great solution.
