Anger is a scary emotion because it has so much power and can get out of control before we know it. A patient man calms things down. Looks like the guy on the right is so determined to be angry that he is going to start his fight anyway. That’s what happens when you burn with anger.
I did this devotional this morning while I was waiting for everyone to get ready for Thanksgiving. It’s a good thing for me to remember as I go through the fun of a holiday weekend and the start of the Christmas season. 1 Peter is full of such good stuff. You can tell Peter had lived out his faith and proved his faithfulness through many years.
As I’m trying this blog thing, I keep reminding myself to watch my tongue. As Paul said,
“Everything is permissible for me”—but not everything is beneficial.” 1 Corinthians 6:12
