Respect can be hard to come by. I’ve learned it’s a two way street. When I respect others, I get some respect back. Now you’ll find the occasional rude person who will spread his disrespect to everyone he meets. But that’s okay. You certainly won’t change him by being just as much as a pain in the neck as he is.
