I used to be a part of a puppet ministry when I was a teenager. It didn’t do much for my social status, but I had a lot of fun. There are aspects of cartooning and puppeteering that I find similar. I love making a character come alive and giving them something to say. It’s also fun to find a way to give a character expression and make use of body language.
Maybe I had a puppet for a mentor after all. I learned a few thing along the way.
