Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life.

We live in an age where we have access to instant information. If we have a question, we can always Google it on our phones. Libraries have buildings and online version. We have access to online universities, podcasts, and audiobooks. We can communicate with experts on the other side of the world. The opportunities to learn are endless.

At the same time, technology had made knowledge advance at lightning speed. Are you still relying on what you learned in school? That knowledge was probably obsolete by the time you graduated. Even if you are an expert in a field, choosing not to learn more can make you a dinosaur within a few years.

Whether you are just starting in your career, or have been working for decades, there is always something to learn. The old can learn from the young as well as the young from the old.

It is a great time to be a learner. Choose to learn something new every day!

At least once in our lives, we are running away from something. Jonah was the classic example of someone who knew better. When he ran away from his calling, things went from bad to worse.

This is one of the Bible stories that has caught the attention of people for years. Today, avoidance is hardly an effective technique!

When I was a teen, I thought I was the only one who felt rejected. I had the classic Charlie Brown Syndrome. Maybe that’s why I loved reading Peanuts so much.

But not that I am older, I’ve learned almost everyone has felt rejected at times. We’ve all had past experiences, internal wounds, bad habits and external voices that make us feel inadequate from time to time.

I am glad I have learned there is restoration. We can be restored to a new and bright future. We can be restored from our past, through our pain and begin to takes some steps forward.

This year, I had the chance to illustrate the Christmas story for a family party. I narrated the story from Luke 2 and Matthew 2 in the Bible.

Left Behind in Exodus

Timing is everything and this poor guy got left behind. I imagine he was at the coffee shop or browsing the scrolls at the local papyrus store. Let’s hope he gets to the Red Sea before Pharaoh’s army does.
