Sooner or later, you will have second thoughts about an action. Maybe things aren’t going as smoothly as you hoped. Maybe the excitement of a new idea wears out and the hard work continues.
The exhilaration of a new experience gives way to the messy middle. Bills must be paid, new experiences turn to routines and thoughts turn to people and things left behind in the old life.
It’s all inevitable. We can’t live on adrenaline forever. Obstacles never mean it wasn’t meant to be. Challenges don’t mean you should have never tried that new thing.
Keep the faith during the messy middles. The thrill of the beginning can never last. If you planned, your goal is attainable. Find out what you love about the journey. It is as satisfying as the end goal.
Read Simon Sinek’s book, Start with Why. When you know why you are pursuing your goal, it will help you through the what and the how.
Lets face it! If your goal was easy, everyone would do it. If it was easy to pursue your dream, you would have done it a long time ago.
Keep pushing through the messy middle. It is worth it!
