This morning, I got to illustrate a talk my wife was presenting to an elementary chapel on pride and humility. She did a great job talking about King Nebuchadnezzar and his fall due to pride.
The prideful person is:
- Hands ready for a fight
- Always running his mouth
- Refuses to listen
- Stomps his feet impatiently
While the humble person:
- Is quick to listen and slow to speak
- Speaks words of life
- Instead of boxing gloves gives and offers to help
- Walks towards others in need
I enjoyed doing the drawing, as opposed to speaking and drawing at the same time. I also enjoyed using a whiteboard. It was easy to erase part of the drawing and add items such as the boxing gloves.
