Winter portrait

When I heard this week’s theme, it reminded me of a Christmas Eve years ago when a snow storm was coming. My son and I spent the afternoon preparing for it. There wasn’t any snow until that day and we had to take care of some of the autumn maintenance that I kept putting off. I remember it as a fun afternoon where my son was talking about all the books and TV shows he loved. He would recite story lines from his favorite shows and books. It was a great time to be together.

In the Meadow, We Can Save a Snowman

I can just imagine where snow-people would lean on the sprinkle-full immersion theological debate. They’d go for the sprinkling. They couldn’t help being hydrophobic. Water hazard would mean something entirely different to the snow folk.

Cold as Ice

Illustration Friday: Adrift

When this week’s word, “adrift,” came up for Illustration Friday, I thought of all the snow in my backyard and my poor pets. They have had a hard time with the snow. And Indiana hasn’t gotten the kind of snow that has assaulted the east coast. We’ve had only a small taste of Snowmageddon.

Comic: Snowman Disaster

There’s lots of snow here this week. Snow people have been sprouting everywhere. There are certain things these new citizens should not enjoy. Hot tubs are one of many potential hazards for the common snow individual. Be sure to warn them.
