The Power of Preschoolers

cartoon of two men going over building plansThis cartoon has two men looking at plans. One says, “The new Education Wing will utilize renewable energy by tapping into the power of preschoolers.”

I love the energy of preschoolers! I believe some of their energy comes from the excitement they feel when they are discovering new things. When the whole world is yours to discover, it naturally gives a little energy boost.

This morning, I think I’ll talk with a preschooler and look at the world through his eyes. It’s pretty amazing to see things new again. It may give me an energy boost!

Gifted and Talented in Children’s Ministry

cartoon of a mother trying to put her son in a gifted and talented programCartoon of a mom saying, “My Billy is very talented for his age. Does your children’s ministry have a gifted and talented class?

Here’s to all the high performing, type A parents that want their kids to excel. I haven’t heard of a gifted and talented program at a church. If you have, let me know. Would midweek programming be considered gifted and talented? I think every kid is gifted and talented according to Ephesians 2:10!

I drew this for Kidzmatter Magazine.

Ever Tried to be Anonymous?

Cartoon of a guy lamenting he has the last name of AnonymousCartoon of two guys. One is lamenting, “It’s tough when your last name is ‘Anonymous.’ Everyone hits you up for donations.”

In my very limited research, I didn’t find anyone whose last name was literally “Anonymous.” I am surprised someone hasn’t had their name legally changed to that. It would be a good way to confuse people.

Have you ever tried to be an anonymous giver? Don’t answer that. It would spoil the whole anonymity thing.

Business Business Cartoons Interview

I am sure I would fit into your work culture.

Cartoon of a clown and a business man. The clown says,

Last October, the Halloween obsession was people dressing up like clowns and charging people. There were stories about people turning the tables and attacking the clowns. All that month, I kept hearing Send in the Clowns swirl around in my mind. There was a time when clowns were considered fun and humorous. Now, they are seen as a threat and a maligned subgroup.

One thing is for sure, when you go for a job interview, don’t dress as a clown or act like one, unless that is one of the job requirements. Even then, I would leave the clown shoes at home.
