Your Work Matters!

Cartoon of a guy flipping a hamburger. The boy says, "Just call me, 'The Sultan of the Spatula.'"On this Monday, I have one thing to say: Your work matters! Now I could stop right there, but this would be the shortest blog post I’ve ever done. We can’t have that, can we? So here it goes!

You may think your work doesn’t matter because you are in a business that is struggling. But your work does matter! You never know how that business would be doing if you weren’t there. If you keep holding on, you may discover a way to bring that business new clients. You may discover a new product or service that revitalizes your industry. Don’t give up. Your work matters!

Telescopes and neighbors just don’t mix. This guy may be too nosy for his own good. Kids, don’t try this at home!

I am drawing this for KidzMatter Magazine.

Why Are Women Less Likely To Become Entrepreneurs Than Men? : NPR

Businessman to two businesswomen, "That was a spectacular fail! Let's do it again!"I heard this spot from NPR yesterday on why men are more likely to be entrepreneurs than men.

Analysis finds women are less likely to be arrogant about mistakes and more likely to be humble about their achievements. Men are more likely to disregard market signals that their ideas are flawed.

This surprised me. The conclusion seemed to say guys who are too arrogant to realize they made a mistake are the entrepreneurs that are most likely to succeed.

Is Twitter the ultimate evangelism tool?

It’s no wonder traditional media is struggling. When you compare how difficult it was to get a message out just thirty years ago compared to today, well no wonder publishers are scratching their heads!
